Welcome to Midtown
Boston's Midtown neighborhood is at a crossroads of the city. It is located on the east side of Boston's historic Common. It is home to Boston's Theater district, the Downtown Crossing shopping area, four major hotels, two colleges, and numerous churches and restaurants. Its convenient location is at the convergence of three subway lines. It is adjacent to the Chinatown neighborhood and Boston's financial district.
The housing is primarily condominiums and apartments. A majority of the units were constructed within the past fifteen years. It is a district of high-rise living; one tower is forty stories tall with vistas in all directions. Recently, there has also been a conversion of former commercial buildings to residential and many of these buildings now offer loft spaces for adventurous urban dwellers.
